Dr. Rita Ellithorpe received her medical degree in 1982 from The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL. She then completed her residency in Family Practice at Womack Army Hospital, Fort Bragg, NC in 1983. She relocated to Fort Knox, KY where she served as an emergency room staff physician, general medical officer, and flight surgeon as Chief of the Aviation Clinic from 1983-1990. Dr. Ellithorpe received a second doctorate in Integrative Medicine from the Capitol University of Integrative Medicine in Washington, D.C. As a guest faculty member at Capitol University, she continues to teach anti-aging medicine and natural hormone replacement therapy for women and men. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine as well as the founder and medical director of Tustin Longevity Center. Her research on Oxidative Stress and Anti-Aging has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and she is a nationally recognized speaker on these topics as well. She participated in cancer investigations with Dr. Stanislaw Bruzynski at his research institute in Houston, Texas and was later published as a co-author in literature describing his unique therapy. She is a staff physician and the Director of Women’s Studies at Whitaker Wellness Medical Clinic in Newport Beach, CA. She has helped in the development of natural medicinal therapies at the Great Smokies Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. With a determined commitment to her patients’ nutritional road to health, she regularly reviews treatment modalities and documents the results. She shares the documented research of successful interventions in peer-reviewed journals to help further educate her colleagues on the benefits of certain treatment modalities.
